AMMiC’s 70 Disciples School is pleased to invite everyone to a special talk by Bishop Grant LeMarquand, the Bishop for International Mission (Retired) of the Anglican Diocese of Canada, entitled” My story of God’s call to me and Wendy, to Ethiopia, the Horn of Africa, as bishop giving oversight to the church mission.”

The talk will be from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, March 19, 2026, Good Shepherd Church Vancouver (189 West 11th Avenue, Vancouver, BC). Limited parking spots available in lot adjacent to the church, with street parking available in the surrounding neighbourhood.

Bishop Grant was from 2012 to 2018 the Area Bishop for The Horn of Africa within the Anglican / Episcopal Diocese of Egypt with North Africa and the Horn of Africa. His episcopal area included oversight of approximately 150 churches in the countries of Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia and Ethiopia. He has taught Biblical Studies and Mission in Canada, Kenya, the USA, Egypt, and Ethiopia. Bishop LeMarquand and his wife Wendy, who is a medical doctor,  have two grown children and one grandchild.

Asian and Multicultural Ministries in Canada, a ministry of the Anglican Diocese of Canada, will be welcoming a Sudanese Church Plant group on Saturday, March 21, 2026. We will be gathering at Langley Christian School – Elementary Campus on 22930 48th Avenue, Langley, BC, V2Z 2T7. This is the worship location of Emmaus Road Anglican Church.

• 2:30 pm – Peace Talk with Bishop Andudu Elnail
• 5:30 pm – Holy Communion Worship Welcoming a Sudanese Church Plant Group.

Our gathering will start with a talk about peace by Bishop Andudu Elnail from Sudan. After the talk, we will have a Holy Communion Worship Service welcoming a Sudanese Church Plant group into AMMiC and our diocese. The worship service will be led by our Diocesan Bishop Daniel Gifford and Area Bishop Stephen Leung, and Bishop Andudu Elnail will be preaching.
