Dr. John Goldingay, a priest and an Old Testament scholar, will deliver a free public lecture entitled “Praise, Protest, and Poetry: How the Psalms Can Give Substance to Christian Worship” this Friday (May 2) 7:30pm at Good Shepherd Vancouver, BC (189 West 11th Ave, Vancouver, V5Y 1S8).  This event is co-sponsored by AMMiC and Centre for Worship Studies, Carey Institute.

**John Goldingay is the David Allan Hubbard Professor of Old Testament in the School of Theology of Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California and has been at Fuller since 1997.  Before joining Fuller, he was the Principal and Professor of Old Testament and Hebrew at St John’s College, Nottingham.  He serves on the Task Force on Biblical Interpretation in the Anglican Communion and the editorial board for the Library of Hebrew Bible/Old Testament Studies.
