The Apostle John said, “After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.’” (Rev. 7: 9-10)
Dear Friends of Asian and Multicultural Ministries in Canada (AMMiC),
That was the eschatological picture God showed me in Westminster Abbey 17 years ago, in 2009, when I prayed in solitude to discern the call to take up episcopal ministry in the new diocese. There God called me to commit the rest of my life to visible minorities and multi-cultural ministries in Canada. God showed me the image of a large gathering before the heavenly throne made up by peoples coming from the four corners of the world. They were from all cultures and languages, and their numbers were innumerable.
Ever since, I keep sharing the heavenly vision with everyone I encounter: that God is calling us to reach out to the visible minorities, either grown up locally or have come to Canada from overseas. In recent years, undoubtedly Canada has faced significant challenges – surges of new immigrants, economic pressure, political shifts, and global unrest. AMMiC’s ministry has likewise encountered all kinds of challenges due to unforeseen situations. And yet, by God’s grace, we learn how to trust the Lord, proceed forward in faith step by step, and have no desire to walk away from his calling.
I pray that a new generation will rise up to carry this torch forward. Without that, the AMMiC movement cannot continue. We sincerely invite you to join us in raising up this new generation of givers, intercessors, and partners in the gospel.

How do I give?
God has always provided just enough for each season. This year, AMMiC’s fundraising goal remains CAD $150,000 (to provide for AMMiC staff remuneration, leadership training, and funding for new church planting). Nona and I are once again committing $10,000 to this work, believing God is not finished with AMMiC. To sustain and expand this mission, we are launching a new initiative:
- We will be continuing The “Seventy Supporters” Campaign where we seek monthly donors, each pledging to give a minimum of $70 per month for AMMiC ministries. We are also accepting one-time donations of a minimum $840 as part of this campaign.
Donors joining the 70 Supporters Campaign, either pledging monthly or one-time donation by December 24, 2026 will be eligible to register for free to any 70 Disciples School course in 2027. - We also invite AMMiC churches and church plants to prayerfully consider allocating 2–5% of their annual budget as a “Mission Fund” to AMMiC to support future church planting and leadership development.
